It is determined that the basic legislative act in this area is the Law of Ukraine “On the Prosecutor's Office”, other normative legal acts are adopted in accordance with it. Conclusions and proposals for legislation have been made.According to the author of the scientific work, it is possible to determine that the system of mechanisms for ensuring service and labor discipline in the prosecution bodies - is defined as the set of organizational and legal ways of observing and functioning of the service and labor discipline in the bodies of the prosecutor's office. The main features of the system of mechanisms for ensuring service and work discipline in prosecuting authorities are the following: 1) the purpose is the proper performance of the tasks, functions and powers of the prosecuting authorities; 2) is aimed at the proper observance and functioning of the job discipline; 3) are regulated by the rules of special and labor legislation; 4) aimed at the proper, professional behavior of officials of prosecuting authorities; 5) include mechanisms of positive, stimulating evaluation of the activity of public prosecutors; 6) include the possibility of incurring disciplinary and pecuniary responsibility by officials of prosecuting authorities.Considering the above, the main tendencies of improvement of the system of mechanisms of providing of discipline in the prosecutor's office are such as: 1) development and approval of the National strategy of reform of the prosecutor's office, including the provision of the official discipline on the basis of achievements of leading law schools, international and national standards; 2) enhancement of the positive, stimulating motivation of officials of the prosecuting authorities; 3) ensuring the transparency, accessibility and effectiveness of the application of disciplinary and pecuniary responsibility to officials of prosecuting authorities; 4) development and approval of amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On the Prosecutor's Office” regarding: a) enhancing the motivation of the work (system of incentives) of officials of the prosecuting authorities; b) prescriptions of professional ethics and moral and ethical behavior; c) a clear list of additional requirements and restrictions; d) a clear list of the grounds and procedures for prosecuting prosecutors; d) strengthening of prosecutorial self-government bodies in order to stimulate the work (incentives) of public prosecutors.The introduction of effective mechanisms to improve the mechanisms of providing service and work discipline should be carried out by taking into account the relevant features in the future Labor Code of Ukraine, improving the current version of the Law of Ukraine "On the Prosecutor's Office" by supplementing a separate chapter on these issues.
